Amid growing number of COVID-19 positive cases detection from essential commodities carrier, the Tangkhul Co-ordination Forum on COVID-19 (TCFC) had directed district bound essential commodities vehicles from outside to compulsorily carry and produce Negative test results not older than 72 hours.
No goods carrier will be allowed to enter the district without carrying negative test results of the last 72 hours during the lockdown period, stated the lockdown guidelines issued by the Forum convenor, Tuisem Kamkara.
It further informed that no Covid Committee of any villages or localities should formulate any rules bypassing the government SOPs and create problems.
Elaborating further on these, it said that no village should asked returnees to undergo another test if such individual do not show any sign of weaknesses or sickness in the allotted home or quarantine centres for ten consecutive days.
On selling vegetables, it said that there would be no restrictions on transportation of village produce vegetables for selling within the district . “Those who wish to sell vegetables within the district using vehicle may duly inform their respective village or locality Committee and get approval or consent letter from their end.
Meanwhile, 46 persons from Ukhrul district tested positive cases in the last 24 hours. No COVID death was reported.
