TMNL Demands CM N Biren’s intervention on 6 medical officers earliest posting in Ukhrul District

The Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (Tangkhul Youth Council) congratulating the chief minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh for the last four years of “Citizen-Centric Governance under his leadership” urged upon him to look into the grievances and number of complaints regarding the acute shortage and medical staffs in Ukhrul District.

TMNL earlier on Tuesday issued condemnation against 6 doctors who failed to report for duty “in spite of new posting order vide – office orders by the Governor: Manipur No. MED-402/112021-HS-Health dated April 12, 2021 and No. 2/29/2021-M (T&P) dated January 27, 2021” the doctors did not report for duty until May 12.

The list of doctors who failed to report for duty are listed below as per TMNL:

1. Dr Md Yahia Khan, (Gynecologist)

2. Dr M Sanjeet MO

3. Dr Geetchandra Tongbram MO

4. Dr Pinki Chanu (Specialist ENT)

5. Dr Priyadarshini Shougrakpam MO

6. Dr Tikendrajit Ningombam, (Anaesthetist)

The Tangkhul Youth Council also appealed for the chief minister’s intervention on the inadequate medical care, and lack of equipment such as oxygen cylinders, concentrators and ventilators, diagnostic test kits etc. in the district.

It then urged N Biren for early joining of the 6 medical officers for better services and well being of the inhabitants of Ukhrul.
