Agartala, March 6: The Directorate of Skill Development in Tripura has supported Trishna Sarkar, a nurse from Udaipur, to join the workforce in Japan with a Rs. 1 lakh monthly salary, covering all her training and travel expenses. This achievement is part of a broader effort by the state government to connect Tripura’s youth with international job opportunities.

According to a press release issued on Thursday by the Director of Skill Development Mhd. Sajad P., Sarkar completed a nine-month Japanese language course in New Delhi. The statement said the Directorate of Skill Development, in collaboration with NSDC International, fully funded her training, travel, and related costs. This initiative reflects the state government’s focus on skill development and employment for unemployed youth.

The press release stated that Sarkar’s success has encouraged six other nursing candidates from Tripura to prepare for jobs in Japan. “In their case as well, the state government will bear the training, travel, and other expenses,” the statement added. The program aims to create new opportunities for health professionals from the state and improve their standard of living.

According to the statement, this effort also seeks to strengthen ties between India and Japan in the healthcare sector. “The state government is committed to facilitating skill development and employment for the youth in the coming days,” the release said, indicating plans to expand such initiatives.

The collaboration between the Directorate of Skill Development and NSDC International is designed to equip Tripura’s youth with skills for the global job market. Sarkar’s employment in Japan is a key example of this program’s impact, as per the press release.
