Tuibuong Arson Case: FIR Against Five, Others Placed Under PR Bonds

UKHRUL: In connection with the arson and vandalism reported on the evening of Wednesday at Tuibuong, the Churachandpur Police have registered an FIR (No. 32(03)2026 CCP PS) on March 26, 2026 under sections 189(2)/148/221/121(2)/109/324(4)/326(f)/3(5) of the BNS against five individuals following verification.

The accused have been identified as Lunmalsawm Sehlep (28) of Kharam Vaiphei, Haominlien Kipgen (28) of Tuibong, Khaigoulien Haokip (30) of Hita Hengjol under Sangaikot, Hemtinlen Haokip (23) of Koite and Khupgoulen Khongsai (28) of NS Khojangphai.

Following the incident police detailed 30 people. The other individuals involved have been bound down and directed to execute PR bonds under Sections 125–126 of the BNSS. They have been instructed to report daily to the CCP Police Station for a specified period. During this time, they are required to maintain good behaviour and ensure peace, failing which the bond will be forfeited and they may be liable for arrest.
