Twitter did not suspend Femina Miss India 2nd runner-up, Thounaojam Strela Luwang’s account

Imphal: Twitter has not suspended the official handle of Thounaojam Strela Luwang.

The 21-year-old celebrity and influencer from Manipur who was crowned Femina Miss India 2023, second runner-up at the 59th Femina Miss India 2023 grand finale held in Imphal on April 15, Sunday clarified misinformation by sections of people on the internet as fake.

“It has come to my notice that some people have been using my name to spew hate about the situation our state Manipur is dealing with currently. This is to inform that my only official Twitter account is @luwangstrela and rest any another accounts on Twitter are hoax and only created to mislead amd propogate fake information. My identity is being misused and it is unacceptable. Please know that the above account is my official Twitter account and that the statements revolving around haven’t been made by me,” clarified the Femina Miss India runner-up.

Under Twitter policy, when an account engages in abusive behavior or abusive tweets, or if Twitter account is reported to violating Twitter Rules surrounding abuse, it may lead to suspension of an account.

It may be mentioned that Nandini Gupta of Rajasthan was crowned Femina Miss India 2023, while Shreya Punja of Delhi bagged first runner-up.

Strela had expressed her thanks and gratitude to the people of Manipur for always being supportive throughout her Femina Miss India journey. “I can’t expressed with words how much I am grateful to the people of the State. Your love and support, I will cherish it throughout my life,” she had said when she arrived at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal on April 28.
