Two Chinese bombs hurled at Senapati’s NHIDCL office, NPO & SDSA condemns

Senapati: The Naga People’s Organization (NPO) and the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) have come up strongly against the bombs that were hurled at the office of the NHIDCL situated at Zaikarii Christian Colony, about 1 km away from Senapati Police Station. The incident came to light when some unknown miscreants hurled two Chinese hand grenades in front of the office of the NHIDCL on January 12 at around 8:30 pm.

State Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad and Senapati Police Station having retrieved the bombs at early morning on January 13 and disposed off the bombs at around 6:30 am. An FIR has been registered at Senapat Police Station for further investigation.

In a statement issued by the Information & Publicity Wing of the Naga People’s Organization (NPO), Senapati (Tahamzam), it stated that the office of the Naga People’s Organization (NPO) is enraged to learn that some unidentified persons hurled two hand grenades at the office of the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL), Senapati at around 8:30 pm on January 12.
The statement mentioned that the NPO outrightly condemned the uncivilized act and termed as dastardly coward, ill- informed and lethargic bug in the society. Violence has no place in civilized society, it added.

The incident has come as a shock to the whole of Senapati at the backdrop of NPO declaring Senapati District as “Peace Zone.” The apex organization shall in no custom tolerate the perpetrators who ransom peace of the district to their diabolic whims. The NPO also demand immediate claim of responsibility of the treacherous act. The perpetrator intent to compromise developmental works for petty personal interest, the citizens shall deal with iron hand, the statement lamented. The NPO also urged law and order keeping authorities to investigate the incident and book the culprit at the earliest. This incident was uncalled for and urges all right thinking citizens in the district to condemn and refrain from such act and thoughts in the near future.

On the other hand, the Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA) strongly condemned the incident where two hand grenade bomb were hurled at the Office of National Highway Infrastructure development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL), Senapati on 12th January, 2022 by unknown miscreants. The SDSA out rightly denunciate the barbaric attempt to create fear amongst the people and  termed it as an “act of terrorism against people’s interest.”

Such vicious act to compromise the ongoing developmental works for personal interest is publicly denounced and considered it as a challenge against the peace loving citizens of Senapati and especially to the Student’s community.

The SDSA urged the concerned authorities to seriously look into the matter and book those perpetrators and take necessary action to avoid such incidents in future.
