Ukhrul Conducted Third Training for Lok Sabha Election 2024

Ukhrul: As part of preparation for the forth coming 18th Lok Sabha Election 2024, the District Election Office of Ukhrul conducted the third round of training session to polling personnel of 44-Ukhrul Assembly Constituency at Ukhrul Higher Secondary School on Wednesday.

The training session was done in group wise and shifts. Men polling personnel were given hands on practicals while women personnel were given theory class in the morning shift. Later, they interchange the session in the afternoon. The master trainers teaches on operation and sealing of EVM, sensitisation of EVM, VVPAT handling, mock poll, actual poll, filling of various form 17A, 17B & 17C, presiding officer’ s diary etc. The training also includes use of mobile applications such as Poll Star, e-Atlas, E-Traccar Apps and Webcasting equipment.

The training was given to 324 polling officers out of which 160 were women and 164 were men.

DEO/DC of Ukhrul informed that 44-Ukhrul (ST) Assembly Constituency has 71 polling stations. Under this constituency, there will be 37 women polling stations and 34 men polling stations.

44-Ukhrul (ST) Assembly Constituency has 71 polling stations and 45-Chingai (ST) Assembly Constituency has 70 polling stations. Both these Constituencies falls within Ukhrul District which will go on polling 26 April 2024.
