Ukhrul, July 31: Infant Jesus College of Engineering (IJCE), Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, is offering free engineering education for Christian students interested in pursuing a career in engineering. This unique opportunity was shared during the Engineering Career Prospect and Mobilization program held on Wednesday in Ukhrul.
The event was jointly organized by the Ravi Abraham Ministry Support Team, Ukhrul, in collaboration with the Ukhrul District Teachers Welfare Association (UDTWA) and Hunphun Katamnao Long (HKL). It witnessed a turnout of around 120 students and parents.

Dr. D. Sekem, a professor from IJCE, addressed the gathering and highlighted the institution’s efforts to align education with employability. “We have implemented Outcome-Based Education as directed by UGC to solve unemployment,” he said, adding that the curriculum has been updated to equip students with job-ready skills.
Testifying to the college’s quality, Ningyangphi Awungshi, a current Computer Science student at IJCE and one of the only two Tangkhul students there, shared her positive experience: “I will rate 9.5 out of 10 for this college,” she said, encouraging more students to consider applying.

The event also saw participation from Rev. Dr. B.D. Kailun Anal, Wungsorin Ragui (President, HKL), Vareithing Keishing, Rev. Jaunty Luikham, Joyson Shaiza, and Themngam Shaiza.
