Ukhrul, October 9: The results for the North East Foundation for Education and Culture Olympiad 2024 have been declared. Organized by NEFEC to celebrate the knowledge and talents of young minds, the competition took place on September 22, 2024, at Ukhrul Higher Secondary School.
A total of 645 students from classes VI, VII, and VIII participated in the competitive exam.
Of the participants, 9 students were awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in each category, while 21 students received consolation prizes, with 7 students in each category. The NEFEC Olympiad 2024 is designed to help young students prepare for the larger SOF Exam at national and international levels. It aims to be more than just a competition, serving as a celebration of knowledge and talent. “By participating, we believe students will gain valuable experience, confidence, and recognition, setting the stage for their future success,” said Tamyo AC of NEFEC.

The successful candidates will receive cash rewards: Rs. 10,000 for 1st positions, Rs. 8,000 for 2nd positions, and Rs. 6,000 for 3rd positions in their respective categories. Consolation prize winners will receive Rs. 1,000 each. Additionally, all winners will be awarded certificates.
The prize distribution ceremony will take place during the inauguration of the 7th Edu-Fest 2024, scheduled for October 17, 2024, at UBC Jubilee Hall.

NEFEC announced that, “Due to recent developments in Ukhrul Headquarters, the preliminary round for Edu-Fest 2024 scheduled for October 11 has been cancelled. The deadline for name-list submissions has been extended to October 12, 2024. There will be no preliminary rounds for Edu-Fest. All participants will compete on the event day. The event will be held from October 17 to 19 at UBC Jubilee Hall, Ukhrul Headquarters, as scheduled.”
