Ukhrul Police set up help desk to address public needs

The Ukhrul Police department has set up a help desk to help the general public receive prompt response from the department in various situations.

The help desk will function from within the office complex of Superintendent of Police, Ukhrul, at Mini Secretariat Southern Block, Hamleikhong with immediate effect.

According to an order given by SP Ukhrul Saujanya Singh on Tuesday, the District Police Help Desk is constituted to facilitate issuance of any document from Ukhrul Police Department like Police verification Cettificate (PVC), Police Clearance Certificate(PCC). No Objection Certificate (NOC) and others.

Apart from this, the help desk service will also attend to any complaint received from general public in this regard. Help desk will also coordinate with OSC, SDPOs & other concerned officers for speedy completion of the process, the order said.

“It was felt that sometimes people are facing problems and delay in getting some documents issued from police department. Hence, we have constituted this help desk in order to facilitate the process,” SP Singh said in a separate message made available to media persons.

“If someone can’t travel to concerning PS and apply, they can straight away approach this help desk and we will forward their application to the concerned PS,” he assured, adding that the same is to help people get their work done quickly.

The help desk comprises Inspector Chonreingam Raising as Nodal Officer (Contact M/ No.9366981580) while SI Samatai Khaleng (Contact M/ No-8118936511), HC. Prem Member (Contact M/ No 7629074642) and HC Shangreihao Shatsang (Contact M/ No 9612936087) as members, the order said.
