Ukhrul reported 8 positive cases on Sunday; total Active tally stands at 121

Ukhrul district reported eight Covid-19 positive cases on Sunday pushing the total active tally to 121.

According to district surveillance officer Ukhrul, the district cumulative positive stand at 205 – 119 male and 86 female while total active case stands at 121.

Meanwhile the district magistrate Ukhrul, Joseph Pauline Kamson, IAS, had revoked eight residents from the containment zone as all the family members in containment zone have been retested and found negative while one resident had been declared containment zone.

Residents of H.Somung, Kamphasom, Ukhrul; Wortam Vashum w/o Reisang Vashum, Talui village, Sopem Vasha w/o Newlanso, Viewland Zone 1 and Convenient store Viewland zone 1 Ukhrul; Ngacham Kasomwoshi s/o Ngaraipam, Greenland Ukhrul, Leiyapam Shaiza s/o late Zingshopam, Greenland Ukhrul, Dr K. Aluisung H/o K. Rita, Wino bazar, Ukhrul, TH. Nanao, Greenland Ukhrul and resident of Shimreishang Khangrah, Hamleikhong Block-C had been revoked from the containment zone.

On the other hand, the district magistrate had declared the resident of Suisa Tallanao, w/o late Ninghorla Tallanao as containment zone with immediate effect. As part of its ongoing preventive measures it had also sealed, barred entry and exit and directed to initiate active surveillance of Covid-19 cases.

Meanwhile, the Tangkhul Co-ordination Forum on Covid-19 (TCFC) committee on May 15 extended “Total Lockdown” in Ukhrul district for another week from May 16 till May 22.
