CHANDEL: United College, Lambung, Chandel, organised its Freshers’ Day for the 2025–26 academic session on Saturday, September 19, to formally welcome and engage with the new batch of students.
The programme, hosted by general secretary Nula Roshni, began with a prayer by head clerk RL Lumcho, followed by a welcome address by the general secretary.

The programme featured musical and cultural performances by Momo Kindness and Dutha, as well as a group performance by Fresh Fusion. Principal Dr Danny Chara, vice-principal Dorendro Takhellambam and president of the United College Teachers Association delivered short speeches.
The highlight of the celebration was the Mr & Miss Freshers competition. After multiple rounds and presentations, Leivon Damreng Chung and Pepe Sweetly Wango were crowned Mr & Miss Freshers 2025–26.
The competition also featured musical performances by Anthony and Warni, and Thanwardou.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by RT Chinghring and RL Doshung, followed by a closing prayer by Angpong Roel Augustine.
