Vehicle Damaged in Rockfall Incident in Kangpokpi

Ukhrul, May 31: A vehicle carrying seven passengers was struck by a falling boulder in a rockslide near Nungdolan area under Kangpokpi District on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 1:45 PM when a Bolero (registration number MN 03C 0362), traveling from Noney to Imphal, was hit by a large boulder, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

Fortunately, all seven occupants, including three children and four adults, escaped unhurt.

The vehicle was being driven by Guikiaba K. Balang, President of the Inpui Naga Youth Organisation.
