Violence-hit Manipur begins COHSEM 12 Exam 2024

Imphal: The Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur, COHSEM has begun Class 12, Higher Secondary Examination 2024 on Wednesday. The exams will be held from February 21 to March 30, 2024.

Over 31 thousand students from Arts, Science and Commerce streams appeared for English paper on the first day of exam across 111 exam centres across the state. The exam began at 10 am. There is no report of any unwanted incidents so far.

Relevant authorities are taking necessary measures to ensure smooth conduct of the exam.

In view of the board exam, womenfolk of Khwairamband Keithel Core-Committee have withdrawn their shutdown agitation over the judicial remand of 6 accused in connection with arms snatching case at 5th IRB camp, Chingarel, Imphal East District.

On the eve of the exam, Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren and Education Minister Thounaojam Basantakumar extended best wishes to the students appearing for the exam.

Chief Minister N. Biren on his social media post wished the students.

“I extend my best wishes to all students appearing for the COHSEM exam. Your dedication and hard work will pave the way for a brighter future. Let’s ensure a smooth conduct of exams by refraining from any actions that may disrupt the process.”
