UKHRUL: Dr. W. S. Khanpam, daughter of W. S. Ngazek and Free Somi of Teinem Village in Manipur’s Ukhrul district, has successfully completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing from IES University, Bhopal, adding another significant achievement to her academic and professional career.

Dr. Khanpam’s doctoral research, titled “The Effectiveness of Different Teaching Strategies on Achievement, Performance, Achievement Motivation, Learning Style and Attitude toward Learning Experience of Nursing with respect to Postpartum Management,” examined innovative approaches to nursing education and their impact on student learning outcomes in the area of postpartum management.

The research is expected to contribute to the ongoing development of nursing education by providing insights into effective teaching practices that can enhance both theoretical understanding and clinical competence among future healthcare professionals.

Prior to earning her doctorate, Dr. Khanpam completed her Master of Science (MSc) in Nursing from Saveetha University, Chennai. She is currently serving as an Associate Professor, where she continues to play an active role in teaching, mentoring and academic research.

Apart from her contributions in the classroom, Dr. Khanpam has established herself as a dedicated researcher. She has authored and co-authored more than ten research articles published in reputed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, reflecting her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of nursing and healthcare education.

Her academic credentials have also earned her recognition in the international research community. She serves as an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Obstetrics, Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing, contributing to scholarly discourse and the dissemination of research in maternal and neonatal healthcare.

With a strong foundation in teaching, research and academic leadership, Dr. Khanpam’s accomplishment stands as an inspiration for aspiring nursing professionals and young researchers seeking to make meaningful contributions to the healthcare sector.
