Imphal: In an unprecedented move in the spiraling ethnic violence in Manipur, the Meitei/Meetei community in a public meeting held on Wednesday at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Sanglen, Palace Compound has openly declared, what they are terming a Manipuri National War against the Narco-Terrorists.

The public meeting organised by Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) passed eight resolutions. Among them, the public meeting resolved to appeal all ethnic communities in Manipur to join the war with the Narco-Terrorists. It also resolved to hold the Government of India (GOI) responsible for the prevailing crisis among the two communities.
While a public emergency in Manipur has been announced, other resolution in today’s public meeting include banning of all entertainment events and festivals barring religious activities.

No military combing operations in the valley unless hill areas are included.

Establishment of memorial park for the martyrs who died in the ethnic conflict.
Seek with the concerned authority to approve and release application of arms licenses at the earliest for protection from the the aggressor.
Urge the Government to establish Village Defense Force for safeguard of all village in Manipur.
