War on Drugs 2.0: Two held with 40 soap cases of suspected heroine powder

Imphal: Kakching Police on Friday seized 2.0, 502 gms of suspected heroin powder as part of War on Drugs.

The siezure, according to Police took place around 12:20 pm during regular frisking checking at Sugnu Khongnang Makhong by a CDO/Kakching team led by SI Robindro Brown.

During a search, 40 soap cases with suspected heroin powder was recovered from the bag the duo were carrying. The weight of the suspected heroin powder is found to be 502 gm excluding the weight of the soap case, Police said.

Two individuals were arrested in connection with Friday’s drugs seizure. They are identified as a 30-year-old Mangmuanlian, S/o Lunchinmang of Haika H village, Chakpikarong and Thangguanlian Zou 27-year-old, S/o Nengchin Mang of Haika H village, Chakpikarong. The two individuals along with the seized drugs are being handed over to Sugnu Police Station for further necessary action, Police added.
