Worsening road conditions cause several accidents at Mao area

Senapati: The road stretch from Tadubi to Maram has witnessed lots of accidents since the past few months.

Over the years, this stretch has been a nightmare for drivers and passengers. Just recently, atleast 10 vehicle accidents, 4 casualties and many injured lives are reported at risk.

With curved and sharp bends along the stretch coupled with landslides and soil sinking at many places has added higher risk of accidents, a major concern for all to give a thought on this particular stretch of road to avert more accident and casualties in future.

Concerned authorities are urged to look into it and take up necessary work in this regard along the stretch.

NH 1

It may be mentioned in particular that sharp bends, blind curves and non protective measures (Guards) near Makhan Bridge along the NH-2/AH-1 is posing a great threat to the commuters.

The local communities living in and around the stretch appealed for urgent attention of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to immediately look into the matter for public safety.
