UKHRUL: The Elders’ Forum of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN), Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR), on Thursday acknowledged members of the Tangkhul Naga public who stood for unity amid recent unrest.
In a press statement addressed to the public, the WTR noted that at a time when an arson mob went on a rampage raising voices of disunity and protest, several individuals and groups chose to uphold unity and collective responsibility. The WTR expressed appreciation for such actions.

Emphasising the need for constructive engagement, the WTR Elders’ Forum called for dialogue and mutual understanding between the WTR and the public. It also underscored that open communication would be key to addressing misunderstandings and strengthening trust.
The statement further said that the good deeds and exemplary actions demonstrated by those who upheld peace and unity will be remembered, as it appreciated and acknowledged their role.
