Ukhrul: Something different happened at UBC Jubilee Hall. Something so exciting and new that leaves the young souls and minds to carry them along with it in the days to come like a great tide, something that lets their minds blaze and burn for more knowledge and motivation. The three day long Edu Fest 2023, which kicked off on 12 October 2023 wrapped up on Saturday with great excitement, great enthusiasm and a ray of hope.
Attending the closing programme as chief guest, ex-MLA of 44-Ukhrul Assembly Constituency, Alfred K Arthur lauded the initiative of the organizers for creating a platform for young minds to compete and exchange ideas. Alfred K Arthur stated “We grow when we work and perform as one. The attitude shown by our young un-corrupt minds is indeed a joy to experience today.”

Alfred K Arthur asked the students, When you get up in the morning, how many of you look into the mirror before going to school? All the students responded in the affirmative by raising their hands. This tells us that we love ourselves. Love yourselves, respect yourself and that is how we move on. Because you are all God’s beautiful creations.
“My challenge is very simple, till the time we have the 7th edition, let us promise that we will wake up every morning and look in the mirror and love the person in the mirror with all our heart, mind and soul and grow stronger to fulfill our dreams. Take your life seriously, look into the mirror everyday and look for the good in everything and promise yourself to be a good person. Live your life to the fullest. Today in our society, employable and educated youth are so small in number. Work hard, listen to your parents and your teachers. They are your gods. Respect your colleagues and they will respect you. God bless you all” concluded Alfred K Arthur.
