UKHRUL: Seeking justice for “sincere and deserving” students, the Meghalaya unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday condemned the systemic corruption that led to the recent NEET-UG paper leak.

State Secretary Bomsing Khongtir confirmed that the organization is seeking a transparent and impartial inquiry into the organized malpractice, asserting that the dreams and aspirations of lakhs of aspirants must be protected through a credible examination process.

The student body expressed serious concern over allegations regarding organized malpractice, the involvement of coaching networks, and the circulation of leaked question papers. According to the state unit, these developments have shaken the confidence of students and parents across the country.

Moreover, the subsequent cancellation of the examination has reportedly created deep anxiety among candidates who have worked tirelessly for years to prepare for the competitive test.

ABVP Meghalaya has strongly condemned all forms of corruption that compromise the future of honest students. The organization is now demanding a time-bound investigation into the entire matter and strict punishment against all individuals, institutions, and networks involved in the alleged racket.

Meanwhile, the state unit urged the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Government of India to strengthen security and transparency mechanisms to prevent such recurrences. It further called upon educational authorities to introduce stronger digital security systems, strict monitoring of examination centers, and tougher action against “examination mafias” operating across different states.

Reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding student interests, the organization appealed to aspirants not to lose hope. State Secretary Bomsing Khongtir emphasized that merit and hard work must remain the foundation of the nation’s educational system.
