CHANDEL: With an aim to guide and help students from the Anal community choose their careers, the Anal Naga Government Employees Welfare Association, Chandel on Wednesday organised a one-day career guidance seminar at the Panchai Village Community Hall, Chandel. It was organised in collaboration with the Anal Lenruwl Tangpi – General Headquarters.

The career guidance seminar was held with a focus on students studying in classes X to XII and those who have cleared the board and council examinations.

As a resource person, renowned social scientist and professional career counselor Dhanabir Laishram spoke on the value of time and career choices. He said everyone is given 24 hours a day, a time so valuable that one should not waste it on unnecessary matters.

He said time is more precious and valuable than anything, be it money, gold or jewellery. No matter the issues in family, with friends or the society, if one uses that 24 hours a day in a proper and systematic way, they will surely succeed, the social scientist said. 

Sharing his wisdom and inspiring over 400 students that were present, Dhanabir called on them to follow their heart with sincerity and dedication.

Replying to queries during an interaction session, the professional career counselor exhorted the students to have vision and inspire themselves at all times. He said obstacles were part of one’s life and that overcoming those stumbling blocks will lead to success.

Earlier, welcoming the students and the resource person, Kl. Arun, president of ANGEWAC said the main purpose of the seminar is to help students with their career and future.

The professional landscape is evolving faster than ever and navigating the vast sea of career options, Kl. Arun said, adding that proper guidance can turn any challenges into the right opportunity. He maintained that ANGEWAC and ALT have organised the career guidance seminar to help guide students from the Anal community in the right direction.

Giving the vote of thanks, Bd. Ningwar Anal, president, ALT GHQ thanked the resource person of the day, Dhanabir Laishram for his valuable time in sharing his wisdom and inspiring the students. He also thanks the school principals and their students, teachers and parents for their presence and support.

The seminar was moderated by Kt. Zechariah Anal, general secretary, ALT while Ht. Wilson, former executive secretary ANBA, prayed for the success of the event.
