Ukhrul, May 3: The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has extended its heartfelt best wishes to all candidates appearing for the NEET (UG) 2025 exam scheduled for May 4, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

In an official press release, ANSAM recognised the significance of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), describing it as a crucial gateway for aspiring doctors and medical professionals across the country. The association noted that this year’s exam will witness the participation of over 23 lakh students across 552 cities in India and 14 international locations.

Highlighting the importance of the medical profession, ANSAM encouraged youth to pursue this life-saving career not for financial gain but in the service of humanity. The association also applauded the Government of Manipur and the concerned authorities for establishing NEET exam centres in the hill districts of the state since 2024, which it called a positive step in addressing the educational needs of tribal communities.

Furthermore, ANSAM urged the Government of India to consider increasing the number of exam centres for various competitive examinations in the hill districts. The association stressed that such measures would not only enhance educational access for underprivileged students but also improve the law and order situation by reducing travel-related challenges and financial burdens.

ANSAM made a strong appeal to civil society organizations (CSOs) and the public to ensure that NEET (UG) 2025 is conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner. It requested all parties to refrain from any form of bandh or strike during the exam period.

For students allotted exam centres in the Naga hill districts of Manipur who may face difficulties or have inquiries, the association has provided a helpline number: 8413944912.
