ANSAM extends Christmas greetings, calls for divine wisdom for peace among State leaders

Senapati: The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM), while sending out Christmas greetings to the public, and looking forward to the New Year, has sought divine intervention for “enough wisdom to bring peace and tranquility to all the leaders at the helms of the state and various civil society organisations in Manipur”.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6), the ANSAM message said.

“As we draw close to the end of 2023 with courteous service, patience, commitment, dedication and contributions for the good cause and well being of society, let us commemorate the challenges we faced throughout the year, which will forever remain engraved in our consciousness as one of the most challenging tasks within our recent history towards attainment and eventual realization of our vision,” the Naga student body said. In the midst of all hardships and happiness, the ANSAM “wishes to take this opportunity on behalf of the constituent units of the ANSAM and sub-ordinate units of the ANSAM, to wish everyone our felicitous yuletide greetings of Merry Christmas 2023 and a prosperous New Year 2024,” the ANSAM message also said.

This Christmas season is a time when “we celebrate the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and God’s redemptive grace to mankind,” it also said. “It is a season when we pause and reflect on the goodness of God and a time to also re-strategize for what lies ahead of us. The ANSAM prays and wishes for the prevailing of peace in the state of Manipur atthe coming Christmas.”

The Naga student body then thanked the constituent units of the ANSAM, sub-ordinate units of the student body, well wishers of the ANSAM and everyone for the overwhelming and unceasing support you have espoused towards the journey of the association in service to the people and upholding the rights of the people without fear and without reproach.

“As we prepare to enter into a new year, the ANSAM submits to God Almighty for His guidance and strength for all. May the Almighty give enough wisdom to bring peace and tranquility to all the leaders in the helms of the state, various civil society organisations in Manipur and may all of us be preserved and protected until we meet in the coming year with a new hope, commitment and fresh dedication to our duty and may the everlasting God and the Prince of Peace keep and sustain all of us,” it added.
