Guwahati: Ranjan Kakati, a senior healthcare administrative manager, associated with Dispur Hospitals in the city, has been honoured with Six Sigma Excellence Awards 2022.

The young and energetic professional was handed over the award by Union sports, youth and information & broadcasting (I&B) minister Anurag Singh Thakur in a function held on March 16 in New Delhi.

Mentionable is that annual Six Sigma Excellence Awards are identified as Asia’s biggest awards in recognizing outstanding leaders for their extraordinary contributions to the society. The awardees were selected in 39 categories out of 15,000 nominations from over 50,000 hospitals and healthcare institutions from around 110 countries.

Kakati was awarded the ‘Best Hospital Administrator’ honour of the year. Earlier he also received the best hospital administrator award in Healthcare Excellence Awards 2020, organized by News18 Network group.

A resident of Sualkuchi village under Kamrup district, Kakati did masters in environmental science and also in business administration (hospital management). He is a life member of Academy of Hospital Administration, Uttar Pradesh.
