Ukhrul, Jan 18: The Chief Ministers of Manipur and Meghalaya have expressed their condolences following the passing of former Minister and sitting MLA of Tadubi Constituency, N. Kayisii. MLA Kayisii served as the president of the National People’s Party (NPP) in Manipur until his death at 1:30 PM today at his residence in Imphal, after a prolonged illness.
Expressing deep sorrow at the demise of the former Minister and MLA, the Manipur Chief Minister noted that N. Kayisii represented the people of the Tadubi Assembly Constituency in the Manipur Legislative Assembly for two consecutive terms, winning elections in 2017 and 2022. Additionally, he served the people of the state as the Minister of Tribal Affairs, Hills, and Fisheries Departments.

Recounting the departed MLA’s work, the Chief Minister stated that the MLA’s tenure not only marked his sincere commitment to his constituency’s development but also witnessed significant contributions toward solving many issues faced by the state.
Further, N Biren Singh said that the demise of the MLA was not only a loss for his family but an irreparable loss for the entire state. The void created by his demise would be extremely difficult to fill, he said. Expressing his condolence to the family, the Chief Minister also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Conrad K Sangma, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, has also condoled the passing of the MLA who also served as the National People’s Party (NPP) Manipur State Unit President.

Extending his condolence, Conrad K Sangma said that N Kayisii was a humble servant of the people, and his demise was a tremendous loss to the people of Manipur, particularly Makhan Khuman Tadubi Constituency, and the entire NPP family. We have lost an able leader who was truly a man of the masses, he said.
Recalling his warm association with him, the Meghalaya CM stated that he was deeply indebted to Kayisii for his leadership and invaluable contributions.
The Meghalaya Chief Minister and NPP Chief extended his heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and supporters while wishing for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
