Senapati: Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, while inaugurating the 42nd Maram Students Union (MKS) General Conference in Maram, Senapati district, emphasized that “Love, unity, and respect can transform society.” The event, held under the theme “Towards a Transformed Society,” brought together over 1,000 youth delegates and prominent leaders, reflecting a strong collective commitment to societal change and progress in Manipur.

In his address, CM Biren Singh shared his vision for a transformed Manipur, focusing on unity and inclusivity. “Love, unity, and respect are the keys to transforming society,” he said. He also discussed several government initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people, including the Chief Minister’s Health for All (CMHT) scheme and the “Go to Hills” program. Singh reaffirmed the government’s determination to tackle challenges like drug abuse and illegal immigration.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for a range of developmental projects, including the construction of boys’ and girls’ hostels for tribal students, a tourist circuit, sports grounds, and healthcare infrastructure in the Maram area. He also highlighted his government’s efforts to bring concrete changes, including roads that last for 40 years and the expansion of administrative facilities in the region.
Works Minister Govindas Konthoujam, PHE Minister L. Susindro, MLAs Losii Dikho and Kumo Sha, and former Minister Francis Ngajokpa also spoke at the event. They all echoed the Chief Minister’s vision, urging the youth to take active responsibility in transforming the state and contributing to its peace and prosperity.

In his speech, MKS President Rangsung K. Ngiimai reminded attendees that the conference was not only a moment to reflect on past achievements but also a time to work towards a more just and equal society. Former Deputy Speaker K. The event concluded with a renewed call for unity, peace, and development, with all attendees reaffirming their commitment to the conference’s theme and the Chief Minister’s call to bring a positive transformation to Manipur.
