Bollywood Singer Shreya Ghoshal to Perform at Tripura Tourism Festival’s Grand Finale

Agartala: Tripura’s Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Saturday announced the upcoming Tripura Tourism Promo Fest-2024, a multi-venue cultural extravaganza aimed at showcasing the state’s rich tribal heritage and natural beauty. The announcement came during a press conference held at the Geetanjali Tourism Guest House here in Agartala.

The festival will kick off on December 3 at Narikel Kunja in Dumboor, where Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha will inaugurate the event at 11 AM. On the same day, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate a newly constructed bridge and homestay facilities at Dumboor Lake.

The festival will then move to different locations across the state including Rajghat in Neermahal on December 9, Jampui Hill on December 11, and culminate in Agartala with events from December 12-14. The grand finale at Swami Vivekananda Stadium alias Astabal Maidan in Agartala will feature performances by acclaimed Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal and Tripura’s own Indian Idol 4 winner Sourabhee Debbarma, along with other local artists.

“The primary objective of this festival is to promote Tripura’s diverse cultural heritage and natural beauty while boosting economic development through tourism,” Minister Chowdhury said. The event is being jointly organised by the Tripura Tourism Department and Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited.
