CHANDEL: Hb. Lovingson Anal was on Thursday installed and took oath as the new general secretary of the Anallon Chief Association (ALCA) during a simple ceremony at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lamphoupasna in Chandel district. Hb. Lovingson is also the chief of Oklu village in Green Hills Area of Chandel.
Anallon Chief Association (ALCA) is the apex body of the chiefs of Anal Naga villages.
The Oath was administered by Hb. Chaningam, chief of Toupokpi village, who is also the Speaker of ALCA Assembly. Thanking Hb. Lovingson for taking oath as the general secretary of ALCA, the ALCA Speaker called on him to work diligently and with sincerity.

During the oath taking, Hb. Lovingson pledged to respect his post and serve the people with sincerity and dedication. He also pledged to abide by the Anal No (Law) for the betterment of the Anal community.
Reverend Fr. Jose, SDB, priest in charge of St. Dominic Mission Centre, Lamphoupasna blessed and installed the new general secretary of ALCA.
Giving the vote of thanks, Hb. Hebarson, vice president of ALCA said the ceremony was held in a Catholic Church to show that the association is an interdenominational association and that it is meant for the Anal Naga community. He added that the next oath taking and installation ceremony would probably be held in an SDA church.

Earlier, Nl. Wolhring gave the welcome address while Nl. Kono, chief of Lamphoupasna Village, also welcomed the delegates. Hb. Shyam, brother of the new general secretary, also spoke on behalf of the family and thanked ALCA for the trust and opportunity.
Women Society of Lamphoupasna Village and Bd. George also presented songs as part of the ceremony which was attended by ANTA president and members, ALCA executive members, chiefs and Church leaders from Anal Naga villages and villagers of Lamphoupasna village.
