The Naga student body stated that Chawangkining village, located centrally in Kangpokpi sub-division, is accessible to Naga, Kuki, Nepali and other communities living in the surrounding areas, making it an ideal site for the school.
ANSAM further informed that the villagers of Chawangkining have agreed to donate suitable land for the construction of the JNV, pointing to a strong local support for the initiative.
ANSAM maintained that setting up a JNV in the area would help address educational imbalance in the hill districts and provide better learning opportunities for students from economically weaker backgrounds.
It also appealed to the Governor and Chief Secretary’s office to extend necessary support in facilitating the proposal and ensuring fair educational access for students across communities in Manipur’s hill districts.
