Chief Minister N Biren rushes to Delhi

Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh has once again flown to New Delhi on Monday. However,  it is not known the precise reasons of the chief minister’s trip to the national capital.

Soon after the chief minister left Imphal for Delhi, speculations are rife that the forthcoming by-election in the state can be the reason. Ticket issue is also going to be a matter of hectic lobby in BJP.

The Manipur unit of BJP president, Prof S Tiken and an MLA are reportedly accompanying the chief minister. Sources said that the chief minister flew to Delhi to meet with Central leaders of the BJP and take up the ticket matter with them once again.

Meanwhile, political parties including the ruling BJP and its coalition partners and also intending candidates have started their campaigns for the by-elections which the ECI had recently hinted of holding around the same time with the Bihar Assembly elections due by October-November 2020.
