Deck cleared for next Tripartite talk at Senapati

Senapati, November 28, 2024: As per a notice from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India, all decks are cleared for the next tripartite talk scheduled for tomorrow comprising the Govt of India, Govt of Manipur, and the United Naga Council (UNC) over the rollback of newly created districts in Manipur.
It may be mentioned that the United Naga Council has been demanding the rollback of the creation of 7 new districts in the state.

As per a reliable source received on Thursday, Govt delegates for the Tripartite Talk may include AK Mishra Advisor, NE from the Govt of India, Chief Secretary, Manipur, Commissioner (Home), and one SIB official, an IPS of 2008 Batch.

The UNC team may be led by its President and General Secretary, its working committee members, the President of the All Naga Students Association, Manipur ANSAM), the Naga Women’s Union, and the Naga Peoples’ Organization.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 10 am tomorrow at DC Conference Hall, DC Office Secretariat, Senapati.
