Senapati, September 17: The District Administration, Senapati, has issued a travel advisory in connection with landslides caused by incessant rainfall over the past two to three days.

Referring to letter No. NHIDCL/PMUSenapati/Misc/2025-26/4531 dated September 15, 2025, from the General Manager (P), NHIDCL, PMU-Senapati, and in view of the recent heavy rainfall leading to landslides and subsidence at multiple locations along NH-129A (Maram–Peren Road) and NH-102A (Ukhrul–Tolloi–Tadubi Road) within Senapati District, the district administration has issued the following directives to regulate vehicular movement:
- NH-102A (Ukhrul–Tolloi–Tadubi Road): Movement of all types of vehicles, both light and heavy, is suspended until further notice due to landslides at various locations.
- NH-129A (Maram–Peren Road): Near Tamphung (Peren Bridge) between Ch. Km 91+400 – 109+100, an alternative route via the Old PWD road has been opened for one-way traffic of light motor vehicles (LMVs). Movement of heavy trucks along this stretch is suspended until further notice.

The Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) and local Traffic Police authorities have been directed to coordinate with NHIDCL, PMU-Senapati, to ensure effective implementation of these directives and to monitor compliance regularly.
As per sources, minor landslides along NH-2 have been cleared, and the road is now pliable for vehicular movement.
