Ukhrul: The first phase of randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for Kamjong District for the forthcoming Parliamentary Election 2024 was held on Saturday at the Mini Secretariat Complex in Ukhrul.
The randomization process was conducted under the supervision of the District Election Officer (DEO) of Kamjong, Rang Peter, along with other senior officers and representatives from various political parties.

During the event, DEO/Deputy Commissioner of Kamjong, Rang Peter, briefed the participants about the randomization process, emphasizing its importance in ensuring a smooth and fair election. Rang Peter mentioned that “randomization helps prevent any manipulation in the assignment of EVMs to each polling station.”
The randomization process was carried out using dedicated software designed for this purpose by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Following the randomization, the detailed list of all EVMs was handed over to all political parties present at the event. Rang Peter expressed immense gratitude to the representatives from various political parties for their attendance and appealed to the leaders to extend maximum cooperation for the smooth, peaceful, and successful conduct of the General Election 2024.
