Imphal: Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, former Miss Universe and Indian model, has made her maiden visit in Manipur on Wednesday. She will be walking as a showstopper for well-acclaimed Manipuri fashion entrepreneur Robert Naorem during the closing ceremony of Hun Thadou Cultural Festival in Kangpokpi district headquarters.
During her quick interaction with media persons upon her arrival at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal, Harnaaz Sandhu revealed that she can’t wait to get the show started as she will be walking as a showstopper and to promote the handloom and textiles of the state.

“I am really excited to learn so much from Manipur and its culture,” said Sandhu, who was crowned Miss Universe title in 2021.
Thank you so much for the love and support and that is something which really makes me happy,” she added after a warm reception at Imphal airport.

During the show, the beauty queen will also be joined by various models from the state and other parts of the country, including super model Sonalika Sahay.
It maybe noted that Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday, opened the two-day state level Hun Thadou Cultural Festival at Thomas Ground in Kangpokpi district.

While lauding the Thadou community for preserving the rich culture and traditions of the community, the chief minister said with mutual love and appreciation for each other, we can strengthen our growth in harmony as one.
