GoI Banning NSCN-K for 5 Years is a Declaration of War

Ukhrul, September 26: The declaration of National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K) as an “Unlawful Organisation” by the Government of India and banning it for five years is a declaration of war, the NSCN-K said in a statement issued on Thursday.

In the statement issued by the MIP, GPRN, the NSCN-K stated that it does not have plans to occupy any Indian territory or fight India Armed forces on Indian soil.

“Unlike India, the Nagas and Nagaland were never part of India or British India, is never part of India and will never be. Sovereignty is our birthright, inheritance from God and our fathers. Nagas are not struggling to jeopardise or break the Indian sovereignty. Nagas are struggling to retain and protect our Sovereignty and it has nothing to do with India’s laws, it stated.

The NSCN-K claimed that it has never ever transgressed, occupied, violated an inch of Indian soil to launch a war since the birth of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland in 1980 while alleging that it was the Indian Army and the Government of India that has forcefully and illegally occupied and killed the Nagas in the name of Law and Order while the real intent is “Indianisation”.

“The NSCN-K led by Maj.Gen.(Rtd.) Ang Mai, Nyeiton Konyak and Kughalu Mulatonu have appreciated the validation of Naga Sovereignty by the Indian Home Ministry as the soul of Naga people. The Nagas have never had their political and historical boundaries with India prior to 1963 and 1972. Nagas had its borders with Southern Tibet in the north, with the Kachins in the east, with the Ahoms in the west and the Meiteis and Chins in the South. The arbitrary and illegal boundary extension of the Mac-Mohan line from Tibet in 1972 without the participation of China and Nagas is directly responsible for the political rift,” it stated, while citing that the repressive and anti-human laws which are presented as bouquets in the Indian Constitution against the Nagas to support their apolitical propagandas included the Armed Force Special Power Act of 1957, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act of 1967, Terrorist and Disruptive Act (TADA), Disturbed Area Act (DAA), National Security Act (NSA) and many more.

“No political, historical, social, religious or economic relations have ever existed between India and Nagas since the birth of Indus Civilisation and birth of Independent India in 1947. Had there been no British in India, not a single Naga colony or village would have been forcefully militarised into India,” it stated.

The NSCN-K asserted that the Government of India must clearly understand that, forcefully and illegally occupying the Naga country with more than millions of Indian armed forces is to exert the greatest military crime of this generation.

“Until and unless the Government of India withdraws its occupational armed forces from Nagaland, the Nagas will not remain as mute spectators. Nagas must have its due, to live and govern its own people without outside interference. The NSCN-K does not have plans to occupy any Indian territory or fight India Armed forces on Indian soil. The GOI must educate its armed forces to reciprocate through political courses and arrive at peaceful political solutions,” it stated.

The NSCN-K also termed the allegation that NSCN-K possess weapons or being aided by anti-India as a “cheap propaganda” and claimed that the light weapons were purely for self-defence.

“To form alliances with the Northeast revolution is a bounden duty, a legacy passed onto us for more than five decades. Legal taxes are collected throughout the Naga Country and not a single coin has been aided or funded from Indian soil. This far, the Naga Army does not possess any heavy weapons, biological or nuclear weapons. These light weapons are purely for self-defence within the Naga Country as it is with all the armed forces and police personnel of India. To allege the NSCN-K of possessing weapons or being aided or funded by anti-India is the ugliest figment of the weakest and stupidest mindset. A cheap propaganda of the elements of the early man and its stone age era,” it stated.

“Thus, by far and large, the Government of India is the sole aggressor, occupier and criminal in the Naga country. The Indian Security Forces and its agents should be declared ” Unlawful and Terrorist Organisations” and riot the NSCN-K. This is why, the Ministry of Home Affairs of India should immediately reverse the illegal order, sit and talk with the NSCN-K to end the political deadlock,” it added.
