Agartala, Aug 12: From the capital to the border towns, Tripura on Tuesday came alive with the Har Ghar Tiranga spirit as citizens, students, and officials marched in unison, celebrating the approach of the 79th Independence Day.

In Agartala, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha flagged off the 2025 Har Ghar Tiranga Rally from the Ujjayanta Palace premises, urging all residents to participate in the campaign. “The national flag is the pride of the nation and a symbol of patriotism and national spirit. The second phase (August 9–12) features the Tiranga Fair and Concert, while the third phase (August 13–15) will culminate in statewide flag hoisting.

Tuesday’s Agartala rally concluded at Rabindra Bhavan, where the Chief Minister inaugurated the Tiranga Fair and attended the Tiranga Concert at the Rabindra Centenary Hall. Also present were Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, AMC Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar, West Tripura Zilla Parishad Acting President Biswajit Shil, AMC Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta, and senior officials.
