“Nagas are thankful to Th. Muivah and prime minister Narendra Modi for taking the peace process to another level with constant negotiations and creating a congenial atmosphere to resume the peace talks,” minister Dikho added.

The minister further said, “Back in Manipur, after CM Biren led government took over in 2017; he started the ‘Go to Hills’ and reached every part of the hills districts and many villages thereby established bridges amongst different communities of our state. Manipur is one of the most peaceful states in the country today. CM Biren in his first visit to Senapati district as chief minister in 2017 during the public reception openly acknowledged the contribution of NSCN-IM leader Th. Muivah in the peace process. In order to bring peace and negotiations, Biren is the first chief minister from the whole of Northeast region to speak boldly and clearly on Naga issues. Therefore we should all acknowledge such leadership to bring permanent peace in our region.
