ITLF condemns miscreants vandalising its office in Churachandpur

Imphal: In a spate of fresh violence, unidentified individuals reportedly vandalized the office of the Indigenous Tribal Leaders’ Forum (ITLF) in Churachandpur district on Sunday night.

According to reliable sources, several documents, computers, and other office properties were destroyed by the miscreants during the attack. This incident is believed to have stemmed from internal conflict between the Paite and Zomi communities.

Strongly condemning and denouncing the action, the ITLF also alleged that an armed group attempted to murder the Forum’s spokesperson, Ginza Vualzong, at his D Phailien residence on the same night.

“As we confront Meitei extremists and the Meitei government’s ethnic cleansing campaign against the Kuki-Zo, this uncivilized and potentially deadly violence within our own community in the heart of our town is unacceptable,” stated the ITLF.

The ITLF made it clear that it will not tolerate such heinous acts and will continue its efforts until the alleged offenders come forward to resolve the matter with the ITLF as soon as possible.
