King Chilli Festival held at Kuilong part II

King chilli festival of Kuilong part II was held at Tamenglong on Saturday.

The festival was held to promote quality king chilli grown naturally without the use of chemical fertilizers.

Johnson Khundrakpam RFO Tamei, S Khogen Singh RFO Tousem and Ranchamdin PRO, Tamenglong attended the festival as chief guest and guest of honour and special guest respectively.

On the other hand, an Awareness Campaign on Conservation of Wildlife including their habitat was held at Kuilong Part II on October 30 under the aegis of Tamenglong Forest Division. Several villagers attended the awareness program.

Compensation for the cattle killed by the tiger (Panthera Tigris) during the month of July 2021 had been handed over to three cattle owners – 1) Suipingbou 2) Namsibou 3) P. Wirikambou by the Forest Department, Manipur in the presence of the village authority members.

Awareness Campaign Tamenglon

All the camera traps installed to capture the images of the tigers in Kuilong part II had been retrieved by the visiting forest officials.

The awareness campaign was attended by S. Khogen Singh RFO Tousem, Johnson Khundrakpam RFO Tamei, Hipingbou chairman Kuilong part II, Takampibou Secretary Kuilong part II.
