Following the arrests, allegations surfaced claiming that Nemneilhing Haokip held the position of General Secretary of the KWU. In response, the Union stated, “Any claims identifying Nemneilhing Haokip as the General Secretary of KWU or any of its branches are unauthorized and false. The KWU does not have a General Secretary by this name, and we urge the public to disregard such statements.”
The KWU has also demanded an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding her arrest and urged the authorities to verify her identity and affiliations before taking further action.
