The community had earlier imposed the Non-Cooperation movement against the CRPF for the alleged killing of ten Kuki-Zo-Hmar “village volunteers,” as claimed by their civil bodies on November 11 in Jiribam. The security forces, on the other hand, had maintained that the victims were militants and were killed in retaliation to the attack on the Borobekra Police station adjacent to the Jakuradhor CRPF camp.
