Liwachangning village felicitates Ts. Olinda Monsang for her grand success

Chandel: Felicitation Programme of Miss Ts. Olinda Monsang for securing the 7th Position (Arts Stream) in Higher Secondary Examination, 2022, conducted by CoHSEM was held on Sunday at Liwachangning Community Hall organized by LiwaChangning Village Authority.

Ts. Olinda Monsang, a student of Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School, Sangakpham is the daughter of late Ts. Tennyson Monsang and Ng. Jacinta Moyon of LiwaChangning Village of Chandel district. She scored 443 marks with letter marks in five subjects namely, English, Alternative English, Human Ecology & Family Science, Sociology, Geography.

Mayanglambam Rajkumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chandel and Renie Wanglar, Inspector of School, ADC Chandel attended the function as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Sapa Kh. Beleander, Asst. Pastor LiwaChangning Baptist Church was the blessing minister of the programme.

Kumar Khartu, Chief of Liwachangning village in his welcome and introductory speech extended his warm welcome to all the dignitaries, leaders and well wishers.

Ng. Roland, Asst Chief in his speech mentioned that “the success story of Ts. Olinda Monsang is considered a historic moment and an important achievement from education perspective in the context of Liwachangning village in particular and Chandel district in general.

Th. Jeksha, Principal of Angam Memorial School, and a former teacher of Ts. Olinda applauded her former student on her grand success and wish her the best in her higher studies and career.

Ng. Rungkham, Chairman, Church Board, LiwaChangning Baptist Church in his speech mentioned that “success does not come easy” . This is the fruit of her hard and sincere labour despite the tragedy of losing her daddy in 2021 due to Covid pandemic. Wanglar Renie also congratulated Ts. Olinda Monsang as a proud daughter of Liwachangning village and wish her more success in future.

Deputy Commisioner, Mayanglambam Rajkumar in his speech congratulated and appreciated Ts. Olinda Monsang for bringing laurels to her village and the people of Chandel. As a token of appreciation and encouragement, a citation certificate and Rs. 10,000/- along with some books was handed to Ts. Olinda Monsang. The Deputy Commisioner also assured her of giving laptop for her academic used and willing to extend any possible help in future. In his speech, he also gave a thought provoking exegesis on dream and passion and the dichotomy the two shares when it comes to choosing a career. Apart from dreams and passions, positive values and skills are needed for UPSC aspirants, he concluded.

Ts. Olinda in her testimonial speech thank her parents, school teachers, village and church leaders, friends, and all the well-wishers for extending their moral and prayer support.

The felicitation programme waa marked by beautiful songs from Women Fellowship, LiwaChangning, Ts. Damme and Choreography from LiwaChangning Sunday School Children Class.
