Luckyson Kashung, Hannah Kamei conferred Indian Administrative Service

Ukhrul: Luckyson Ngamsha Kashung of Ukhrul district and Hannah Kamei of Tamenglong district has been conferred Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Luckyson and Hannah are the two state cadre promoted to IAS.

The notification issued on Wednesday by Pankaj Gangwar, Under Secretary to the Government of India (GOI) notified that in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 8 (1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules 1954 read with Regulation 9 (1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations 1955 and Rule 3 of the IAS (Probation) Rules1954, the President of India has appointed Luckyson Ngamsha Kashung and Hannah Kamei, a State Civil Service of Manipur to IAS.

The two state civil service servants were appointed to the Indian Administrative Service against the vacancies determined by Government of India (GOI) under Regulation 5 (1) of the said regulation in consultation with the State Government for the “Select List of 2021” on probation until further orders and to allocate them to the Manipur cadre, under Rule 5 (1) of the Indian Administrative Service (cadre) Rules 1954, a notification issued by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions ( Department of Personnel and Training), Government of India, further stated.
