Luwang Thang-Ta wins ‘First Hungpung Thang-Ta Open Championship 2023’

Ukhrul: Luwang Thang-Ta Academy, Khurai Kongpal Sajor Leikai is the team champion of the first Hungpung Hao-Kok Thang-Ta Open Championship 2023.

Hungpung Haokok Thang-Ta Academy Ukhrul kicked off the championship at Bakshi Indoor Stadium, Hunpung on April 17.

Luwang Thang-Ta Academy, Khurai Kongpal Sajor Leikai clinched 12 gold medals, 2 silvers and 2 bronze medals and emerged as team champion in the Championship.

Thang-Ta Maheikol Yumnam Huidrom was placed the second runners-up with 11 gold medals, 4 silver medals and one bronze medal.

Hungpung Hao Kok Thang-Ta Academy Ukhrul secured the third runners-up title by winning 8 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

A total of 142 players comprising 72 female players, 42 male players and 28 officials of thirteen Thang-Ta Units from various parts of Manipur participated in the Championship.
