Manipur Human Rights Commission temporarily shifts office, launches web portal for online complaints

Imphal: The Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) has announced that it has temporarily shifted its office to Jaideep Plaza, Plot No. 10 Govindajee Roud, Palace Compound, Imphal East Manipur. This comes with the joining of Justice U.B. Saha as Chairperson, and Kangjam Khagendra Singh as Member of MHRC, effective from February 20, 2023. The new address is also available on Google URL link https:/g.co/kgs/ENJA2f, a press release by MHRC on Wednesday said.

Ever since the new Chairperson and Member joined, MHRC has disposed of approximately 54 cases, MHRC deputy secretary E Anand Singh said.

Additionally, the Commission has launched a web portal under the sponsorship of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to expand its outreach for the State of Manipur. Through this web portal, complainants may submit online complaints through www.nhrc.nic.in, it added.

MHRC further informed that any complaint may also be filed by post or by hand delivery at the office of Manipur Human Rights Commission, Jaideep Plaza, Plot No. 10 Govindajee Road, Palace Compound, Imphal East Manipur, (India) or by email to shremanipur@gmail.com
