Minister Khashim Vashum releases TKLI’s ‘Aja Wui Tangkhul’ magazine; New President sworn in

The Tangkhul Katamnao Long, Imphal said it held its biyearly Swearing-in Ceremony at the TKLI Office at Tangkhul Avenue Community Hall on Saturday in a press statement.

TKLI said Mathotmi Kasar has been inducted as the President of the Tangkhul students’ union, Imphal, along with Somichan Keishing as the Speaker of the Union.

The new TKLI President encouraged its Executives Council to faithfully and conscientiously discharge their duties for the upliftment of the society, the press statement said.

President, Tangkhul People Organization Imphal, Pastor, Tangkhui Baptist Church Imphal, Tribunal, TKLI, Tangkhul elders, dignitaries and well wishers witnessed the transition, it added.

Meanwhile, the office of the TKLI also informed that it released a magazine on Friday after a gap of one decade – the magazine Aja Wui Tangkhul (The Tangkhul Today) Vol. IV. Khashim Vashum Minister, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary and Transport Department, Manipur released the magazine in his Secretariat Office.

TKLI said that the Minister in congratulating the Executive Council on the significant literary contribution appreciated the exceptional content and all the hard work, on and off the scene.

The Tangkhul students’ union, Imphal said the contents reminisce the legacies of the TKLI and creatively engages in various contemporary issues and challenges through a forward-thinking approach. To suit the needs of a wider audience, the resources are crafted to accommodate different cognitive categories ranging from early career professionals to seasoned scholars.

Thanshing WS, the outgoing President of TKLI conveyed his sincere appreciation and acknowledgment to the magazine Committee and Executive Council for their time, talent, and tenacious grip from the inception to publication, TKLI further added.

“The Editorial team believes the insights in this Issue from various spheres of life will shed light on a novel and robust outlook that is inclusive, incisive, and invigorating,” said TKLI.
