Minor boy with 90% burn injury succumbs to death

The minor boy who was struggling for life with critical burn injuries in a tragic fire breakout that charred to death three minor girls in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district succumbed on Friday. The boy who was rushed to Raj Medicity hospital, Imphal with 90% burn injury died on November 27, reports said.

Earlier, three minor girls aged 7, 4 and 3 years were charred to death on spot in the fire incident occurred on November 25 afternoon at K Moljol village under Keithelmanbi police station of Kangpokpi district.

All the three girls and the boy were siblings.

A local source said that they were the victims of the fire that engulfed a hut built in the jhum field of their parents. The siblings stayed in the hut along with their grandmother while their mother had gone to get medicines.

The grandmother was also out of the hut when the fire broke out, the report said.
