Naga Groups Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen CNCR and Mutual Respect at Chumukedima

Ukhrul, April 22: Convened by Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR), Naga Political Groups, Tribal Hohos met today at Chumukedima in Nagaland and said it “resolved to continue strengthening the Council of Naga Cooperation and Relationship (CNCR) and agreed to work together by respecting each other based on the Historical and Political Rights of the Nagas.”

It is worth noting that the FNR has been facilitating several such meetings over the past few years. To list a few:

On March 24, 2025, 46 Members from FNR, NPGs, Tribal Bodies Adopt Resolutions to Strengthen Political Collaboration: The subsequent meeting of the Naga Cultural tribe bodies, the NPGs and the FNR is fixed on Tuesday, 22 April, 2025. The Naga tribe bodies earnestly request the highest leadership of the NPGs to attend this critical gathering. Aligned with the CNCR, full cooperation from all parties is essential and deeply valued and; To facilitate and strengthen the Council of Naga Cooperation and Relationship (CNCR), as signed by the NPGs on 14 January, 2025, the Naga tribe bodies will formally join as official participants effective from the next meeting.

On January 14, 2025, FNR and NPGs meet Resolved to implement Council of Naga Cooperation and Relationship.
