Nomination filing for 43-Phungyar AC begins; Hopingson A Shimray files nomination papers

Kamjong: Ahead of the forthcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly 2022 polls, nomination filing for 43-Phungyar (ST) assembly constituency began on Monday with BJP candidate, Awung Shimray Hopingson filing the first nomination papers.

RO for Phungyar and Chingai ACs, Chunglenmang Kipgen, ADM Ukhrul district headquarters has received the first nomination papers from Awung Shimray Hopingson, BJP Candidate from 43-Phungyar (ST) AC at 1 PM today.

This was stated by DIO/DIPR in a press release issued today.

Ukhrul and Kamjong districts having three assembly constituencies namely 43-Phungyar (ST), 44-Ukhrul (ST) and 45-Chingai (ST) ACs will receive nomination papers till 3 PM of February 11 and scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on February 14. Last date of withdrawal of candidature will be on February 16, 2022.

The three ACs are scheduled for the second phase of election on March 3.

The DEO, Ukhrul and Kamjong district is estimated to deploy 1533 polling officers for the 219 polling stations, the release added.
